Why Bush can't admit he's wrong

Interesting program on NPR today on "cognitive dissonance." Conflicting Beliefs Hope I did the link right.

It was an interesting discussion with the author of a book called, "Mistakes Were Made (But Not by Me)." Discussion ranged into why Bush can't admit he's wrong and how people resolve it when they have two conflicting beliefs. Right down to the pretty colors the brain reacts with to the conflict and to the conflict resolution.

My take is that Bush is a resolution junkie. Like the high one gets on drugs. He does not like conflicting beliefs, throws his brain into a tizzy so he opts for the choice that fits with what he wants to do (action he wants to take) and he's all comfy. And then someone disagrees with him and he can't tolerate it.
