“The disaffected are relatively easy to enlist as bombers because they have nothing for which to live. Give them a future and they lose the motivation.”

This is the second reason I followed President Bush into the Middle East (The main reason was to oust Saddam). He said basically this and that he wanted to give them something valuable worth living for- freedom and democracy.

I still think it can be achieved eventually and both the Middle East and the Free World will be the better for it. But it is not an easy road to go down. There are many in the Middle East who have power that freedom and democracy will take away. These people will fight viciously till their last breath to hang onto that power.

It will be a long, tough road, but eventually Freedom will spread.
