A clock is a clock
None of the pictures I saw would have made me think bomb. It also didn't necessarily look like a clock, but a bomb requires explosives of some sort. I think it got out of hand and he shouldn't have been arrested. The celebrity status Ahmed has received is over the top as well, but easily forgiven considering they hauled him away in handcuffs and treated him like a terrorist.
