On another forum I frequent somebody started a thread called drawing Notes Haiku. On that forum we are all in the Design/Construction industry so its been fun to write them for each other. Some of the favorites I wrote are below:
rock pours as water
a buttery cream rises
apply broom finish
clay abounds in red
soils that expand with moisture
replace with gravel
cold clean water flows
white percelain shines brightly
toilets to flush selves
So it would be fun to see some Haiku's from your lives, professions, hobbies, whatever. The pattern is 5 7 5 syllables. The first 2 lines should evoke some natural or mystical imagry, with the 3rd as the punchline.
Here's one from this weekend's visit to the movie theatre:
Silence is broken
chirping intruders hasten
cellphone is silenced
Off-topic Haiku
