When we first got a phone, which hung on the wall, we had a 10 party line. What fun we had listening to our neighbor’s conversations. I assume they were listening to us to. We had problems when people would break in and claim they have an emergency, but didn’t. Fun fun fun. It was such a big thing when we got a “private†line.
