I have a friend with a home in the Bahamas which has been badly abused twice in the last several years by hurricanes. He says that the only thing to do in those situations is to head to the high ground. (His home is directly on the ocean, on a small spit.)

I'd like to fly down sometime to kinda hang out during a hurricane. Would like to see it as long as I didn't have anything important imperiled.
