They just showed lightning off the West coast of the Yucatan Penninsula on NASA TV via Endeavour.
This was the first time I've seen a live night view 'from up there'. At first, the city lights look like stars and even galaxies, but with a dim rim of the Earth. Anyways, it's spectacular.
