What, me worry?
I live near Port Everglades, one of the largest container ports in the South. There are also major cruise ship docks there, huge tank farms that supply all south Florida with fuel, a railroad, the intersection of two interstates and several fuel pipelines, a nearby major airport, and one power plant and a key power distribution transformer station. This is all within 10 minutes drive of downtown Ft Lauderdale and Hollywood, and an hour's drive of about 3 million people.
The local TV stations run exposes continuously on how lax security is there. It's part of the price you pay to live in paradise.
