Flame » in reply to It's humiliating. The US tries to lie it's way out of responsibility. Again.

I know

I saw your earlier post, bowser, and it pisses me off too, but I couldn't think of a damn thing to say.

Medicine sans Frontiers is one of my favorite charities, and I donate money to them regularly (a percentage of all my Amazon purchases). So I took it just that little bit extra personally. I am outraged that my country bombed their hospital and killed their patients and killed them. It breaks my heart.

There's no doubt that US forces bombed the hospital, but it's likely to turn out to be an accident, in the sense that nobody deliberately targeted an MSF hospital knowing what it was. But to focus on that obscures a more fundamental responsibility: We're there, we're dropping bombs and firing missiles from drones. The hospital assuredly wouldn't have been bombed if not for us (decided to delete "the US" in the original and own up to "us").

I'm looking at a reply from SDAI-Tech (hey, where's the "1"?), and morbidly wondering what dreadful things it might say, given the unpromising and so in-character title. I think I'll skip it, and confine my sympathies to you, bowser.

I'm pissed too.
