They were pretty careful about what we brought in when we went there. The island ecosystem is not that big, and it doesn't take much to mess with it, so you really can't blame them. Although, from a long range view, the entire ecosystem is an import from random life floating in, not to mention the Polynesians importing all kinds of things.
Kauai is nicely populated with wild chickens now that escaped during a hurricane.
