They said he had a watch that sent out signals. Since it's not sending, I'd say he and the watch are both splattered all over hell and back. Too damn bad. He did some admirable things.

I thought those little emergency signal thingies on planes were damn near indestructible. Since that's not sending, either, I guess it wasn't (indestructible).
