Astronomical society shows stars to blind

BALTIMORE — Members of the Westminster Astronomical Society helped dozens of blind youths discover the wonders of the night sky at the National Federation on the Blind’s Youth Slam 2007 at Johns Hopkins University last week.
Teenagers at the Youth Slam 2007, hosted by the National Federation of the Blind, feel plaster of Paris moonscapes that demonstrate what the moon’s craters feel like on July 31 at a star party given by the Westminster Astronomical Society.
