This was on the news last night. This guy is a waiter at a local restaurant, sees a young woman outside being carjacked by an armed thug, rushes out and overpowers the criminal and holds him until police arrive and take him into custody.

On tonight's news, I learn the guy was fired from his waiter's job for leaving his post at the height of lunch hour, and "bringing bad publicity to the restaurant". Not to worry, the good Samaritan has already received numerous job offers and restaurant patrons are lining up to give the owner a piece of their mind, and then eating somewhere else! The restaurant owner would not comment on camera to reporters.
