Geology
Volume 35, Number 9 (September 2007)
About the Cover:
Salt-lined mudcracks near Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, formed due to evaporation of groundwater in the exposed space between mud surfaces, which leaves behind a growing mass of salt. The mud areas are approximately 0.5 m across.
