The prosecution has a couple of big problems with OJ.

Now, OJ is in trouble. Again. And the last time it was shown that justice is very hard to come by for some people. Celebrities, for instance.

However, if this case should go to trial, how could they ever select a jury? First, it has to be folks who don't have an opinion as to his guilt or innocence, or be at least open-minded enough to be persuaded of his innocence.

And second, how would the Court ever find a jury of his peers? I'm hoping there aren't 6 or 8 or 12 people in the entire country quite like him.

On the plus side, if there are, a high proportion of them should be found in Las Vegas.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out. He should not have the millions available for a "Dream Team" of lawyers.
Those high-profile folks who might do it will be doing so for the publicity, and have to compete with OJ for that.

Any defense fund would be examined to see if the "donations" really came from hidden Simpson assets. Same with bail, but I suppose he could use his house, which in Florida is exempt from judgements.

And it could well be that the tape won't be used as evidence because it was sold for profit to TMZ, and the witnesses will start claiming it was all a big joke. Those that don't could disappear.

Maybe OJ could plea-bargain, accusing his buddies if setting him up and threatening to use the guns on him if he didn't go along.

And I wonder if the NAACP will pull a "Michael Vick" and decry a rush to judgement based upon race, comparing it to the Duke lacrosse team, even though in that case the accusers were black and the accused were white.

As the Republicans used to say a lot until George W. Bush came along and proved them so tragically correct, "character counts".
