You keep failing to mention that the good general is the author of a well-regarded counter-insurgency manual lauded by the military and, by his own words, our current situation in Iraq is far from his core beliefs about the subject. So Tom, explain why we should be impressed with this guy's credibility and not have severe doubts that his message is more about preserving and advancing his career than any real belief about our chances in the region.

Also explain to us how Moveon's message brought outrage in you and yet you sat on the sidelines and cheered the Swift Boat and Max Cleland attacks.
