Protecting US government personnel in an occupied country? Why do we pay a military?
Protecting US military materiel on it's way to a combat zone in an occupied country? Why do we pay a military?
Is the privatization of the military simply a way to expand the profits to be made from war? Is it simply a way to expand patronage and profits? Is that why Halliburton and others are doing so well?
Rhetorical questions, I assure you. The answer isn't efficiency, isn't to get more bang for the buck but to ensure the bangs cost more bucks and go into politically connected pockets.
