I predict that within a century people will be presented with a catalogue of traits they can splice into their unborn children's DNA. These will be made available by millions of plant, animal, and microorganism genomes completely sequenced by that time. Some traits will be so easy to isolate that only short snippets of DNA will be required. Other traits will require more radical alterations, with unpredictable results....
