In order for us to *get it*...we need something catastrophic to slap us into reality.

As children we are innocence...and that is our truth. As adults we become tainted. We accrue baggage of which we are not even aware on many levels. This becomes our truth. The 7 stages of our grief is dealing with our experiences. Trying to understand. Where we fall short is expecting others to adhere to our version of how things should be.

I think everyone one of us has what I refer to is as "The Alcoholics' Mentality"....."If people would just do what I think is right, MY life would be perfect"..it just depends on to what degree.

That is why *letting go* is so important.
