I tend to agree with you on Obama

I have no idea how this got to be an issue. Most of the conservatives pundits I respect are wondering the same thing. I have no doubt some talk radio types (probably including Rush, unfortunately) will make a stink about it, though. Sure as hell Hannity is beating it to death. Part of this is Obama's own fault for encouraging it.

It's like the dumbass debate question asked of the Democratic candidates during one of the debates. There's apparently a controversy over some book being read in schools about two princes marrying each other instead of a princess, and the question was something along the lines of "would you be comfortable having this read to your kid in school?" Naturally the Democrats fell all over themselves trying to figure out the politically-correct answer, when the right answer should have been something like:

"As a candidate for President of the United States, I don't really give a rat's ass about this book. It's not the President's job to micromanage things at this level, and never should be. Frankly, I'm getting tired of people assuming they're electing a god, instead of the head of the executive branch of the country. Same goes for any other issue that should be handled at the state level or even lower.

"You want something to talk about, let's talk about whether our kids are being taught math, history, the classics, science, and all the other things we used to send kids to school to learn."
