"The New York Times is famous for this, but it wasn't them this time."

Well, no, as a matter of fact it was Fox "News" that first released the tape in public, at 3PM on the day that SITE notified the White House about it. Nice totally gratuitous slam against the NYT, though, totally in character.

Here's the transcript of WH press flunky Dana Prevaricator trying to weasel the issue. Notice how she covered herself by saying carefully that "Fred" told her he didn't leak the tape; she made sure she didn't make the claim herself.

I haven't been that happy with the attitudes of a lot of people on political expedience vs. security and secrecy. I'd also like to know who spilled the beans to gain a few points.

I think we'd all be flabbergasted if it turns out somebody other than the White House leaked the video. The White House is notified and a few hours later the video shows up on Fox "News"? Hell, that counts as pretty much an official release through the Republican's official propaganda outlet. Bet you change your tune when somebody at the WH is identified as the leaker.
