When the US is involved with sanctions against a country it is because someone is threatening its people or us.

Who is threatening the Russians?

Putin wants control of the previously controlled countries the late Soviet Union and that is why Putin is depriving some countries of resources in an attempt to push them around.

It’s the Cold War all over again.

Putin hates the US for melding in the Middle East, which he thinks should be his alone to trade and make shady deals. Putin could care less and probably hopes the US will be hit with another 911 tragedy.

The evidence is clear with Putin catering to Iran’s nuclear program and selling them missiles, trying to blackmail Europe countries with needed resources and to top it off by sending a fleet of naval ships equipped with missiles and building a military harbor in Syria.

The icing on the cake is if Putin rejects the current Russian constitution and remains as the president after is term is over.
