strange seeing the falcon in a dress. Its interesting seeing the performance differences between the 2 aircraft.
Having the F16XL instead of the F-15 might have saved the Air Force a lot of money over the years by having two very similar airframes. The Cold War wasn't about saving money though, and back then having similar airframes would probably have hurt its chances due to the nature of how contracts were awarded. Or perhaps the F-15 simply outperformed it. I wonder what the rest of the story is.
