Raoul, please explain?! "Apprently, there's a hole in the shuttle caused by a debris; I don't know more."
Last I heard, the shuttle was fine! Everything seemed to be going 'ok', until the rotary joint on one the arrays apparently caused friction/ferrous debris to become adrift (!) and now this. I saw the deployment with my son live on NASA TV and sure enough, I saw the bottom part of the panel become warped and then I heard the abort call by Pam.
So far, they think it's a 'hinge' problem, hence the two foot and a half 'tear', not a 'guidance wire' problem as they came to know from STS 115. Sofar, so good as far as power being relaied to ISS.
OK, so now there's a "hole in the shuttle caused by a debris".
Things aren't all that different up there after all. (I've had two broken flower pots and a down palm due to winds that may be in thanks to Noel today.)
