Why do we read about another one of these teacher/student affairs so frequently? Are they really happening more often or did we just not hear about them before? Or are they copycat affairs? If so, who's the copycat, the kid or the teacher? It seems like there are a lot of emotionally and sexually needy teachers out there. Is it something about who's drawn to the profession? Obviously not ALL teachers are like this but are emotionally and sexually needy women drawn to the profession? I'm looking to understand this phenomena. I don't recall reading about male teachers involved with female students in recent times. Or are they doing it, too, and the female students just keeping quiet? Or are the news media just hyping the female teacher/boy student ones and not hyping male teacher/female student affairs?
