Urban Islands

Urban islands kill rainfall. The rainfall during the monsoon season here has diminished significantly in less than 5 years. Simultaneously growth at the rate of ten miles per year in every direction keeps expanding the urban island in the desert and pushing rain to the newly extended fringes and increasing temperature.

Florida isn't the undeveloped paradise Florida of the 1940s anymore.
