I don't mentally ravish all waitresses in all restaurants, only some waitresses in some restaurants. ;-)
As for reality and rewards...like the characters in the story, sometimes unreality comes with a few privileges too. Writing under a pseudonym retains a modicum of private dignity even after such public forays into written wantonness.
