When the Clinton gladhandlers sold them on the idea of campaign stop "Town Halls" back in the 90s they had figured out how to dupe millions by creating what amounted to a live campaign commercial which resonated with the unsophisticated.

They're back to their same ol' tricks Planting Questions

Even the phrase Town Hall was coined to tap the subconscious associations of "Independence Hall" and "Your Town" - an appeal at the viewers patriotism and the honesty & simplicity of townfolk versus cityfolk.

Sadly, it all is a Dick Morris-worthy stage production engineered to elevate them into office. Planted questioners and questions in the "Town Halls", planted phonecalls from George Stephanopoulos live on CNN. What's more sad is that it has worked in the past, because belief and faith are not limited to religion or conservative fundamentalist, but equally manifest themselves in liberal politics where the ends "centralized power" and "increasing politicians power" always justifies the means.
