Mc Candless EVA in 1984
Last saturday, I met someone who had met Bruce McCandless years ago.
Apparently, the plan was for him to turn around when far from Challenger...However, there are no pictures of him showing another side...That's because he admitted being quite scared and wanting to always have the shuttle in sight!
However, during thr next flight, Pinky Nelson did have to face the Solar Max, away from Challenger..;But then, he did face another satellite and not just plain void!
