I'd point out that those three refugees were the cause of the Obama administration halting the Iraqi program for six months. I did send an e-mail to the author.
Seems like the idea of pausing a refugee program to tighten security not being "sane" or the "American thing to do" is a relatively recent epiphany for Obama. Or maybe Obama was heading for an election back then and he was more concerned about voter opinions than he is now.
Sidebar: The Navy article mentions that security checks were expanded, and 57,000 refugees already in the U.S. were "revetted." I assume this means they were being tracked?
