The reason for the question is that it would have been important if these tapes had contained, for example, irreplacable family videos. As it is, they seem to be all movies available in DVD.
Just replace, slowly, one or two at a time, all these tapes with the DVD versions. Start with those you watch a lot (if any!). The rest can wait. Many of these are old enough to be discounted heavily.
Of course, now you'd be stuck in the "regular or HD?" dilemma... ;)
