Even there, our atmosphere wouldn't cause such a sharp edge on the Moon. I'm just using it as an example and I'm not presenting it as an actual image, which it is not.
When space looks white, the image has definitely been fooled around with.
Yeah, a good description as to how, where, when and by whom, would go a looong way in supporting it be factual.
