I agree with your numbers and corrections. But what can the UN do if it has to rely on troops from (and the criminal justice systems of) third world countries? Nobody but the US is the US. Nobody but the west is the west. Nobody but wealthy countries can afford the high ideals that we enjoy.
Plus, the UN cannot tax to support a competent force with which they could do what must be done. Would you have it otherwise?
