Did a Comet cause global war?

Hi All

That flood-causing impact has been suggested for a few years now - Bruce Masse's work was mentioned in one of Alan Boyle's articles back in 2000, and astronomer Mark Bailie has also bandied about the 2807 BC date for the Flood based on the eclipse reports in some Flood stories. Last year the New York Times reported on the discovery of the chevrons in Madagascar...

Ancient Crash, Epic Wave

...so 'Discover' has presented more of an up-date than a big piece of news. The timing is close to the mark for the impact to be the cause of the Sumerian Flood that became Noah's Flood via the literary/theological impact of the Babylonian exile of the Jews.

Another interesting comet-caused historical epoch is reported in Graham Philips' new book...

The End of Eden

...in which he reports on a comet apparition that occurred curiously close to the appearance of winged disk figured 'gods' in cultures all across the world, and the ensuing wars that the new god 'commanded'. Graham's web-site article covers all this in some detail so it's well worth a browse. He even suggests a comet...

12P/Pons-Brooks

...based on Carl Sagan's identification of a Chinese comet report from 1486 BC. Graham's not an expert on impactors so he's a bit vague about how many bits of comet rained down after its near miss, but a bunch of Tunguska-class aerial detonations could have followed in the wake of the comet's near miss. He proposes one big one that caused global cooling for a couple of years, which would then cause mass migrations of people groups and resource wars.
