What's crazy is
that the vocal opponents of stem cell research from embryonic cells really never cared in my opinion. It was always simply a wedge issue, something the far right could push out there that would play on religious emotion and detract from the real issues.
I'm really happy for the development but I have little faith that curing this particular problem will dissuade the political sharks from finding some other equally absurd wedge issue to divide us even more.
