A curious ?Legend?
I've seen any number of references to the "Thunderbird", both in NA stories and some from the early settlers of the Southwest.
While I find it extremely doubtful any avian of that size could be missed by the millions of people in the SW these days, one does have to wonder where the basis for the original tales come from.
