I watched a Youtube presentation by a fellow who claims that there were about 30 historians writing during and shortly after the time Jesus was alleged to have lived and not one of them mentions him.
His thesis was that Jesus didn't exist and was invented later. There are a number of folks who make that argument, rather convincingly.
