I WAS a reporter
And I kept my biases firmly leashed. Any other course of action would have been demeaning to my profession. A reporter reports, an editor editorializes. Unfortunately, news reporting bears no resemblance to what I learned in J School at MU and practiced as a reporter/photographer/page editor for a daily newspaper. And that, sir, is a shame and a crime! A crime against the people who view, read, listen to the news.
