I wonder if anybody has ever done a cross-language pun analysis, or surveyed the relative absence or frequency of puns in different languages. And if they have, what conclusions they have arrived at.
Do people speaking other languages groan when they hear a particularly elaborate pun?
So much to learn, so little time. And what does it all mean?
