I think a true agoraphobe prefers their isolation all the time and I certainly don't fit that category. While there are days that I yearn for shutting myself up in my home with no one else around and just creating, I'd go absolutely bonkers doing that for too long.
At the heart of my personality is an entertainer. I get satisfaction out of writing a song but without someone to play it to and share it with, it becomes very old and stale quickly.
As much fun as it is to interact in the anonymous atmosphere the internet gives us, I get much more satisfaction in face to face communication. So much is missing if one cannot look someone else in the eye while talking and see their body language. I also enjoy challenges and having other senses all working while your mind is engaged in forming sentences is very invigorating.
As an example, I'm sure I'd have to work hard to debate any of the women on this board in person while simultaneously resisting the urge to drool.
