Maybe "non interference" or even, why should we, come to mind regarding 'them'.

If they are transient, intelligent beings, then they must have it all, so why bother? OR, they've tried just as we have and discovered the same.

I don't know what it is when I speak or even think about this subject that Andromedae comes to mind. Maybe we're being watched with the same thoughts in mind and if not there somewhere in our neighborhood.
