Big picture for me is about non-judgemental relationships...treating everyone with respect..compassion...empathy...it is all about the people, and listening to their story. I may not agree with their story or even understand it...but that is moot. TOLERANCE.
If one has tolerance (not the "deep -sigh WhatEVER" tolerance) all else seems to fall into place and optimism becomes intrinsic and the illusion of control is willingly relinquished because it serves no purpose.
[The hitch in all of this is that we must start by being tolerant/forgiving of ourselves first, for the genuine article to emerge within us and incorporate the very fabric of our being.]
