Lightning was detected on Venus in the 1970s
By the Venera probes, especially 11 and 12 in 1978, but this information seems to
have been ignored by the ESA and USA.
So three decades of being able to study this phenomenon have been lost because it
was first found by Soviet scientists and not the West? How sad if so.
As for that image of lightning striking a lake - Boy, when God gets pissed, he doesn't
kid around, does he? I wonder what the lake did to cheese him off? Or maybe it was
some guy in a boat on the lake. Or the fish.
