Cable cos will be allowed to cease analog then too.
You WILL need a digital box for your analog TV. (and yes, they'll charge a monthly rental at "reasonable" rates.

P.S. I'd say dont get a "Cable-ready" TV.
You wont be able to get interactive with your cuddly cable co without the set top box.
