I'll try the RAM per your suggestion, the older DDR PC3200 which my Mobo supports is bloody cheap. I think 4 gigs is the limit for XP
It's not really a problem with programs. It's slow to even open the start menu. Restarts help a little bit.
I was thinking 7 because there's a 64 bit version which would work with my proc IF it can do the virtualization, which from what I read so far, the Athlon can't.
