Reminds me of how some of our local Global Warming Deniers like to claim every snowfall on Greenland is proof that respected scientists and climatologists worldwide are all really con men scamming the world's governments for cash.
No sillier than those who point to ANY temporary climate change in ANY direction, and claim that it's directly due to global warming. Glacier growth, glacier shrinkage, record heat, record cold, dry spells, wet spells, no snow, record snow, sea ice minimums, sea ice maximums, you name it.
Obviously, when you can claim any value of any variable as proof of your theory, there isn't much room for argument.
