Finally got one: a 6200

Kind of a mix-up about that... Jody mail-ordered me an 8600 screamin' machine for Xmas, but my computer's old enough to have PCI slots instead of PCI Express. So, off to the gadget store we go!

Turns out a 6200 is about the best I can do -- and it's fine. "Beyond the Red Line" is gorgeous! Also difficult: frakkin' toasters present such a small target cross-section... But the response time between joystick movements and screen results is much better, which helps me to fly better. Same thing in good old "Descent:Freespace".

Haven't noticed a whole lot of improvement in "Second Life" yet... but I'm about to go find out.
