Allow me to introduce myself: I'm the "ubermoderator" at the HabitableZone, the system administrator who (loosely) supervises the other moderators, and generally I'm the one people come to when there are problems.

Your post seems to have set in motion a series of misunderstandings and missteps, and I apologize if, at times, it might have seemed as if we've been disrespectful. As others have noted, many Zoners have a sense of humor, and they're not only prone to make jokes, as you've seen; sometimes they even post humorous pieces as satire, and I suspect that at least some of us mistook your post for satire and didn't take it seriously. To make things even more confusing, we occasionally get "spam" posts, and some people might have wondered if your post was one of those commercial messages.

We were confused at first, but it seems as though we're starting to understand. Everyone at the HabitableZone is a strong supporter of space exploration, and in its proper context, your message will be well-received.

I would move your post back to Space/Science if I could, now that I understand. But a bug in the forum software prevents that. We'll just have to continue the discussion here on the OffTopic board.

Best of luck to you in your efforts. I would echo McFly in saying that I hope that you continue to post here in the future.
