Thank you for the kind welcome back. But as usual, I tend to agree with about every other line of that which you write, and your conclusions confound me oftentimes.

But they do make me smile and wonder if this reflects your actual thinking, or are you being the gadfly under the horse blanket? At least with Tom you know he is always directly from page four of the Wall Street Journal.

What I did want to say to you is that you would love Uruguay. The taxes on cars is so burdensome they are nurtured, pampered, and kept as heirlooms. And, they are all drivers in daily use. One of the few exceptions was the 1937 Citroen parked on a side street that someone decided would make an attractive planter and has a tree and some puffy flowering plant growing from it.

But really guys, it is not flip flopping to face reality and you could really shock by diverting from the party line and addressing the issues from the point of the real instead of the symbolic.
