Beyond Belief for 2007 is now available for viewing on the web. This year the conversations are about the Enlightenment and what could become Enlightenment 2.0 in our lifetime.
If you were able to watch last year’s presentations you know that the people speaking are the leaders in the areas of physics, psychology, religion, evolution and economics and are able to convey their understandings in a way that can be understood by interested but not specialized people like yourself.
I highly recommend watching each and every one of the speakers but if you must choose I would start with Sean Carroll of Cal. Tech. He presents an understandable and far reaching account of the development of the universe from before the big bang. My personal hero, Daniel Dennett also gives his opinion on the development of the mind and by all means don’t miss Sam Harris the author of "Letter to a Christian Nation" or Carolyn Porco from the Cassini imaging team.
Good viewing
